298 Youth Health Centre began as 198 Youth Health Centre, which opened in 1995. One of our doctors, Dame Sue Bagshaw, established the centre with the vision to provide free, accesible health services for young people.

 

In 2012, after the Christchurch earthquakes we reopened as 298 Youth Health Centre (298) and have been based in various spaces around the Christchurch City Centre, you will now find us at 1/25 Churchill Street.

Our services have expanded over time and we now offer both medical and social services to our young people.

Our future plans include continuing to expand and enhance our services.

 We are excited to be a part of the Youth Hub,  here we will be able to continue mahi of providing wrap around support to the rangatahi of Christchurch.
