Clinical Team Roles

General Practitioner - are experienced at examining patients, diagnosing common illnesses, and administering or prescribing appropriate treatment.

Sexual Health Doctor - are experienced with complex sexual health needs. This includes, but not limited too, insertion and removal of long-term contraception's, pelvic pain, and abnormal bleeding.

Youth Health Doctor - are experienced with a wide range of medical support for rangatahi. This includes youth mental health, sexual health and trauma.

 

Clinical Nurse Specialist - are experienced with most physical and mental health issues impacting rangatahi. They can order tests, and complete most referrals. They complete medical certificates for off-work, school, and ACC. They can not do medical certificates for Work & Income. 

 

Registered Nurse Prescriber - Is a Clinical Nurse Specialist who can also prescribe many medications for common health conditions.
